Joomla! 1.6 RC released!

Joomla -- the most popular Conent Management System to the date -- is going to be 1.6 !

After 15 beta-releases of Joomla 1.6, Joomla foundation has released the Release Candidate of Joomla 1.6. According to Joomla foundation, they have fixed nearly 121 bugs and have closed another 46 issues from Beta 15. They are still testing the Release Candidate for its bugs. However, they wish to release the first stable version of Joomla 1.6 on 10. January 2011.

You can download Joomla 1.6 RC1 and give it a try. But remember that it's no yet stable.

Joomla has their own pathway to develop Joomla 1.6. They divided the project into 4 milestones. Joomla came to the third milestone a few hours ago! The final goal is to release the first stable version of Joomla 1.6!

When comparing to Drupal, Drupal released the RC2 of Drupal 7! Wordpress is now in 3rd version. When looking at numbers, Joomla is the slowest! But the truth is Joomla tests itself in each tiny release.

Developments and improvements are currently going on Joomla foundation and its user groups. We are still monitoring to catch every change!
