Yes, LG recently announced that they are going to release the world's first smart phone with multi-core processor! This innovative dual-core smart mobile, LG Optimus 2X is powered by a Nvidia Tegra2 - 1 GHz dual-core processor.
According to LG, they will release Optimus 2X in Korea, in January of 2011. Optimus 2X-es in the initial launch will run on Android 2.2, but LG has plans to upgrade next-upcoming phone's operating system to Android 2.3
Optimus 2X involves super-class hardware and software features. The 8 Gb internal memory gives a huge storage for years. If it isn't enough, the expandable memory (upto 32 Gb) can come into play. Optimus 2X can catch what it see with 8 megapixels rear camera and 1080 px HD video recording capabilities. 1.3 megapixel front camera will give you a first-class video calling experience!
Optimus 2X has accelerometer, gyro sensor and even more top-notch features. It can connect to DLNA compatible devices wirelessly. So you can make your own network among Optimus 2X, HD Tv sets, and any compatible device!(fun!) Optimus 2X also supports HDMI mirroring feature -- HDMI mirroing can greatly extend HD display to other HD-supported devices.
