Can't login to facebook chat using eBuddy ?
Some of our readers asked in our forum, why eBuddy mobile application can't connect to forum, why Facebook chat.
If you read our post on new eBuddy version, you know that the new version uses Facebook Connect to log you to the chat. In older versions, you have to enter your facebook password to the application interface. In the new version, you will be taken to the facebook.com web site to get your permission to connect your account to eBuddy.
This could be a major change in eBuddy, because a large percentage of all eBuddy users only do Facebook chat with eBuddy although it's a swiss-army-knife.
If you still need to use the older version with facebook chat, you may have to remove your facebook account in eBuddy application and add it again. If you are still getting problems, give a try removing your multiple facebook accounts (and keep only one).

Ebuddy, in simplest format, is a chatting client for mobile.It also have a web version which let you chat via a web browser.
Unlike other federated chat client, like Google Talk, Ymessenger or MSN messenger, ebuddy is a multi messenger. In other words, you can chat with friends in many networks at once. and you need to keep in mind that you can't chat across networks using this. For an example, you can't chat with an MSN friend when you logged in to YIM.
There are other similar multi-messengers exists, and they are poplular. But the difference in ebuddy is, ebuddy connects to ebuddy's own servers and servers then connect to each network.
So probably a security risk to expose your passwords to ebuddy network, but I have not met anyone whose accounts hacked/un-authorized-accessed.
